Lodge 572 served as the first stop for the 2011 Herrin Elks Poker Run. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we suspended our large flag over the entrance of our Lodge parking lot to welcome participants of the poker run. The Murphysboro Fire Department donated the use of their ladder truck and Roth Sign Company in Mt. Vernon donated the use of a crane truck to hoist the flag.
